Down Payment Resource (DPR) today released its Q1 2025 Homeownership Program Index (HPI) report, which saw the number of entities offering homebuyer assistance programs increase by 55 year-over-year. The number of programs increased by 43 during the first quarter, bringing the total number of available programs to 2,509 the highest recorded by DPR.

A new amendment to a Florida bill could shut down the states Real Estate Commission (FREC) and shift its powers to a state agency. House Bill 1461, introduced by Rep. Taylor Michael Yarkosky on February 28, initially made no mention of the Florida Real Estate Commission. That changed on April 7, when a 389-page amendment was added to eliminate FREC entirely.

Kuper Sothebys International Realty has expanded to the Texas coast through a merger with Port Aransas Realty. The deal will extend Kuper Sothebys reach into the Coastal Bend region, including Port Aransas, Corpus Christi, Rockport and North Padre Island.
