The power of a good marketing plan and a strong MLS listing is at the core of getting a bidding war started. This can include some minor repairs but at a minimum staging the house to make it as attractive as possible to buyers. Expect it to take several weeks before your house is ready to be listed on the MLS.

Opendoor Opens the Door to a New National MLS. Those are not agent listings sourced from an MLS via IDX feed. If buyers don’t know about my home for sale, and certainly their buyer agent belonging to the local MLS isn’t going to tell them because the home is not in the local MLS, then how do I get any traction?

While you don’t need a real estate agent to do this in North Carolina, you also can’t do it yourself — you would need to hire a flat-fee MLS listing service to do it for you, and you’d still have to provide your own listing information and photos.

The Iowa State Bar Association also provides a Residential Property Seller Disclosure Statement form. Stage the home with final touches like fresh-cut flowers or a basket of fresh produce. Only licensed real estate agents and brokers who are MLS members can post to the MLS. Pay an agent to list your home on the MLS.
