Coming out of a string of rainy days, we’re back to look at four of our featured listings from six months ago. This week, we’re focused on homes in Flatlands, Sunset Park, Gowanus and Crown Heights. How did they fare?

Starting us off this week in one of Sunset Park’s Finnish co-operatives, this apartment has a flexible layout, some prewar details and low monthly maintenance. The unit was last on the market in 2013, and an old listing shows it has had some renovations since then. The update maintained period details like wood floors, moldings and picture rails and added built-ins in the living room and a bit of additional vintage style in the kitchen. The living and dining rooms are separated via French doors — added back in the reno — that allow for a flexible layout if more bedroom space is needed. Amenities in the walk-up building include laundry and free private storage. The maintenance for this unit is a low $269 a month. A former Co-op of the Day, it sold in August for $585,000, which was $45,000 above the asking price.

Next up, in Flatlands close to Amersfort Park and Flatbush Avenue, this early 20th century wood house has a bungalow feel and a garage. The semi-detached single-family house has a sunroom, living room with a fireplace, dining room with stained glass and a coffered ceiling, and kitchen on the first floor. There are three bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen appears to date from the 1970s and looks worn, and the bathrooms are not pictured. The basement is finished, according to the listing, and the backyard has a deck. This former Open House Pick sold in July for $750,000, which was $49,000 below the asking price.

Next up, we have this Gowanus wood frame that is set back from the sidewalk, giving a hint to its earlier history as a standalone dwelling constructed long before development hemmed it into a city block. While the 25-foot-wide single-family house (converted from a three-family in 2014) boasts some 19th century interior details to add to its historic charm, it also has some decidedly modern amenities such as a green roof, solar panels, and updated kitchen and baths. Details include the stair and newel post in the entry, plasterwork and pilasters in the parlor and dining rooms, and Greek Revival and later Italianate mantels. The fireplace in the parlor is wood burning. Four bedrooms plus a home office and and a studio space are spread on the upper two floors. ​​In addition to the porch and a bit of greenery set behind an iron fence at the front of the house, there is a fenced-in patio with a mature tree and planting beds at the rear. This former House of the Day sold in May for $2.9 million, which was $200,000 below the asking price.

Wrapping up this week, we have an 1890s limestone in Crown Heights with mantels, stained glass, wainscoting, moldings and coffered ceilings galore that hints at the past splendor of the home, although the house also appears to have a complicated history including use as an SRO and a more recent reno. Records show the conversion of the house to a multiple dwelling was completed in 1954, with a certificate of occupancy and I-card records showing one Class A apartment, eight furnished rooms and an additional three living rooms. There isn’t a Certificate of Non Harassment on file but one is in process, according to the listing. It is set up as a three-family, according to the listing, and includes a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath triplex that incorporates the parlor level. On the top floor is a three-bedroom, two-bath unit, and on the garden level is an apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and private outdoor space. A former House of the Day sold in June for $3.45 million, which was $350,000 below the asking price.
