This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Ocean Hill, Park Slope, Prospect Heights and Brooklyn Heights. How did they fare?

Dating to the 1890s, this Ocean Hill row house offers some original details as well as sympathetic renovations that include updated kitchens and baths. Period details inside the brownstone, located at 724 Decatur Street, include encaustic tiles at the entry, stair with newel post, moldings and five mantels. An original two-family, it’s set up with a garden-level rental and an owner’s duplex above. This former House of the Day sold in July for $1.875 million, which was $50,000 over the asking price.

Anyone familiar with Brooklyn’s Kinko houses may well be intrigued by the possibility to own a unit in one that’s turned condo. The early 20th century genre comprises two duplexes, each laid out like a house with its own private entrance. This three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom Park Slope apartment is spacious and has many original details as well as updates. Some features include a bookcase with a hidden door that swings open to reveal a bathroom. This former Condo of the Day sold in August for the asking price of $3.6 million.

Looking like a charming dollhouse, this 1880s former carriage house is tucked in the middle of a block in the Prospect Heights Historic District. Reached via a long driveway, 158 Prospect Place no longer sports horse stalls and instead is a single-family abode with a rustic flavored interior and a generous yard. The interior of the petite carriage house was renovated with some nods to its former more rustic use, particularly on the first floor, with a wood ceiling echoing the wood floor, exposed beams, a wood stove and columns. This former House of the Day sold in July for $5.5 million, which was $5,000 over the asking price.

This circa 1870s Anglo Italianate brownstone in the Brooklyn Heights Historic District has a corner location for good light and distinctive details including leaded glass and mantels. Originally a single-family, it now has four units, and is in use as an owner’s triplex with two apartments, although the floor plan shows five kitchens. This former Open House Pick is still available for $11.7 million, a price cut of $2.05 million.
