Our selections for open houses to see on this sunny weekend all have a bit of period detail to offer. Found in Park Slope, Ditmas Park West, Bed Stuy and Bay Ridge, they range in price from $1.45 million to $3,999,995.

Starting off on Lincoln Place in the Park Slope Historic District, this 1880s brownstone has an appealing exterior that mixes Romanesque Revival on the parlor level with a touch of Queen Anne in the oriel above. The interior of the two-family dwelling is in need of a bit of TLC but there are plenty of details, including moldings, built-ins, pocket doors and mantels with original tile surrounds. Only one of the three full baths is pictured, and it has mid century pink fixtures mixed with later tile walls and a medicine cabinet. The one kitchen shown is fairly standard but appears in good condition.

On Argyle Road in the Flatbush micro nabe of Ditmas Park West, a Dutch Colonial Revival has some curb appeal of its own with a columned front porch and a bright yellow door drawing the eye to the entrance. The two-family standalone has a first-floor three-bedroom, one-bath rental and an owner’s duplex with four bedrooms and 2.5 baths above. The original woodwork in both units has been given a coat of white paint and walls have been opened up or removed completely in favor of more open plan living and dining rooms. Paint covers the original brownstone and limestone facade of this 1890s row house in the Bed Stuy Historic District but its original details are still visible, including the rusticated basement and the decorative corbels under the second story windows. The three-family has an owner’s duplex with two apartments above, and period details include fretwork, mantels, plasterwork, wood floors and built-ins. Finally, in Bay Ridge, an early 20th century bow front house is packed with original detail on the interior. The single-family home has a pier mirror, wood floors, picture rail, built-ins, a stained glass skylight and an Arts and Crafts style stair. The dining room has a coffered ceiling and original embossed wall covering (perhaps Lincrusta) below the plate shelf. Unfortunately, a renovation removed one wall and inserted a massive kitchen island that protrudes into the room and incorporates a round dining table. It’s a jarring contrast to the period detail but it could be removed to create a galley kitchen. There are three bedrooms, a home office and a full bath above. Laundry, a rec room and another full bath are in the finished basement.
