Offering a spacious layout with a large foyer, two bedrooms and a dining alcove, this Windsor Terrace apartment also has a location near Prospect Park. On the first floor of the six-story 202 Seeley Street, there are parquet floors, five closets and all white finishes throughout the unit.

Plans for the construction of the brick building by firm Punia & Marx were announced in 1952. The firm, with partners Charles Punia and William Marx, was busy constructing apartment buildings in Brooklyn during the post war period. They seem to have worked with a number of architects, including Kavy & Kavovitt, on their projects. The original floor plans for this building unfortunately do not identify the architect, but they do list the amenities that were offered to attract renters. Highlighted were hardwood floors, linoleum and Formica in the kitchens and clothes hampers and “modern sink cabinets” in the bathrooms. Dubbed Hampton Manor, rentals in 202 Seeley Street were advertised starting in 1953 and the building received a certificate of occupancy in 1954.

Those original floor plans show that the layout of this unit has remained unchanged. A hall with a walk-in closet and room for bookshelves or narrow seating leads to the large foyer. It is open to the street-facing living room and the dining alcove. Adjacent is the windowed galley kitchen with white cabinets and a dishwasher.

The parquet floors continue into the two roomy bedrooms. The larger of the two faces the street. The full bath is windowed with white fixtures and a brown tile floor.

Amenities in the cat-friendly co-op building include a laundry room, a lending library, storage and bike storage. There’s no mention of an extra charge or wait list for storage, but there is a wait list for the building’s underground parking garage. The listing notes that there are plans for the installation of new windows in the building. Maintenance for this unit is $971 a month.

Elizabeth Kohen and Paul Paglia of Garfield Realty have the listing and it is priced at $895,000. What do you think?
