Here’s how it works:

1. Clients upload photos and videos of their yards, inspiration photos, architectural plans, drawings and surveys, and answer questions about their style and plant preferences, budget and how they want to live in their outdoor spaces.

2. Yardzen pairs clients with a professional landscape designer who designs their outdoor space based on their aesthetic, functional needs and budget. Factoring in characteristics of the property, such as sun and shade patterns, slope and native plants, the consultation and design process is all done through Yardzen’s collaborative online experience.

3. Using the information provided by the homeowner, plus satellite imagery, 3D modeling software and a database of plants, trees and ground covers that match up to planting zones, sun, shade and water requirements, Yardzen delivers custom design renderings for the client to review and provide feedback on through their collaborative online feedback studio.

4. The final design is then delivered in lifelike 3D, which will include CAD plans with approximate dimensions, planting layout, specific plant names, shoppable furniture list — from partners like Crate & Barrel, CB2, Rejuvenation and Yardbird — and material callouts.

5. Yardzen then matches you with a local, vetted contractor in their nationwide ProNetwork who can bring your design to life. Yardzen remains your trusted partner throughout the installation process, ensuring a seamless bidding and installation experience.
