Former NBA player and current head coach of the Brooklyn Nets Steve Nash has settled down not far from Barclays Center.

Property records show that Nash purchased a Neo-Grec brick townhouse in Cobble Hill for $4.995 million. The New York Post was the first to report the news.

The interior images show that the home, before going on the market, had a high end-looking renovation with Scandinavian minimalist finishes and a striking spiral staircase.

It was one of several row houses owned by Long Island College Hospital and used for medical offices that developer Fortis offloaded as part of its controversial development of the LICH medical complex. They bought it from LICH in 2015 for $1.649 million. Two years later they sold it, unrenovated, for $2.7 million.

After retiring in 2015, Nash has spent his post-playing career working as a consultant for teams. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018. He was hired by the Brooklyn Nets in September; it will be his first head coaching position in the league.
