In Bed Stuy’s Stuyvesant Heights Historic District, a grand corner Italianate built in the early 1870s has its original newel post and staircase, ceiling medallions, shutters, pocket doors and a marble mantels. The three-family is set up with two units, a top-floor rental and an owner’s garden triplex. The parlor floor has a kitchen, dining room and parlor with a projecting side bay. Outside, the purple painted wood oriel window contrasts with the facade’s red brick and white-painted trim.
