This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Prospect Heights, Midwood and Williamsburg. How did they fare?

First, in Prospect Heights, this estate-condition prewar could be a beauty with some minor updating. It’s on the third floor of a 1924 elevator building at 408 St. Johns Place, close to Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza, and shops and eateries on Washington. It has two sizable bedrooms as well as a dining room, living room and foyer. There’s plenty of room for books as well as a home office. This former Co-op of the Day was taken of the market in September.

In Midwood, a Spanish Eclectic-style house is full of surprises, from sunrooms to pink bathroom fixtures to a large garage. Located close to Marine Park, it’s part of a whimsical row ornamented with arches, stepped gables and bell towers. It’s a two-family consisting of two large apartments, one per floor. It is semi-detached, with a driveway running alongside and leading to a two-car garage in the above-grade English basement. This former House of the Day entered into contract in December.

Possessed of a large and lush backyard and convenient north Williamsburg location, this simple but elegant 19th century workingman’s brick row house has received a striking modern gut renovation in keeping with its origins. Two stories over an English basement with a center stair, and only two rooms deep, the single-family at 108 North 9th Street has a flexible layout with two bedrooms plus an office that could also serve as a third bedroom or guest room. This former Open House Pick sold in November for $2.75 million, which was $100,000 under the asking price.

Finally, one of a row of impressive houses built in the 1890s by prolific developer William H. Reynolds, this Prospect Heights Renaissance Revival offers up a fair amount of space along with some original details. The wood floors, moldings and stained glass give a hint to the original style at 283 Park Place, which could use a bit of burnishing to bring back all its charm. The current floor plan is set up to allow for a two-bedroom duplex on the parlor and garden level with a one-bedroom apartment on each floor above, although a new owner might want to play with the layout a bit. This former House of the Day entered into contract in September.
