An affordable housing lottery has opened for a whopping 175 units at a nine-story building located at 2628 Fulton Street in East New York. The building, which the listing says will be completed in the summer of 2021, has an alternate address of 50 Pennsylvania Avenue and bears the name 50 Penn.

Of the affordable apartments, there are 35 studios, 75 one-bedroom units, 47 two-bedroom units and 18 three-bedroom units. Monthly rents start at $354 and top out at $1,993.

The lottery is set at an area median income range of 30 percent for 22 of the units, 40 percent for 33 of the units, 50 percent for another 33 of the units, 60 percent for 44 of the units and 80 percent for the remaining 43 units.

Eligible incomes range between $14,640 and $118,400 for households of one to seven people.

There are a total of 218 units in the building. Laundry, gym and bike storage will be located in the cellar. Outdoor space will be located on the first floor, along with three retail spaces (one dedicated to a fresh food store) and parking for 15 vehicles. Indoor amenity space for tenants will be on the second floor, along with more outdoor space, with the units on the stories above.

The property was formerly home to a number of stores—including a furniture store, laundry and a food establishment—and small parking lot. The entire complex was demolished in 2019.
