You can keep small hands busy this week with historic activities and games being offered up by six historic houses in the city.

The four virtual sessions just require some regular household materials in order to write secret codes, create a classic board game and craft toys from bits of paper and string. Museum educators from Brooklyn’s Wyckoff House Museum and Old Stone House along with Morris-Jumel Mansion in Manhattan, Historic Richmond Town in Staten Island and Lewis Latimer House Museum and King Manor Museum in Queens will be leading the fun as part of a Midwinter Recess series.

The sessions, geared toward children age 8 to 12, take place from Tuesday, February 16 through Saturday, September 20 at 1 p.m. All sessions take place over Zoom and are free with a required RSVP. Once registered, you will be sent a materials list so you can start to gather supplies from your cupboards. For all the details, and to register, visit the info page online.
