In our latest real estate tech entrepreneur interview, we’re speaking with Bo Lais from Lula.

Without further ado…

Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Bo Lais, CEO and Founder of Lula. I lead our team in our efforts to revolutionize property management and investing through innovative technology solutions that simplify and enhance the efficiency of property maintenance and management processes.

What problem does your product/service solve?

At Lula, our platform primarily addresses the complexities and inefficiencies in property maintenance and contractor management. By leveraging technology, we connect property managers and homeowners directly with a wide network of skilled, vetted contractors. This not only improved efficiency, but significantly enhances the experience for property managers, owners, and tenants.

What are you most excited about right now?

I’m most excited about our new product, Foresight. I can’t tell you how many conversations I’ve had where a company in our target box was interested in white-labeling our proprietary software that helps us do what we do. That feedback became so loud that we are currently piloting a client-facing version of our software that will allows property managers and REITs to manage their in-house maintenance and 3rd party vendors with a higher level of visibility, efficiency, and profitability. It’s going to be a gamechanger.

What’s next for you?

Looking ahead, we’re focused on expanding our offerings, incorporating more AI and machine learning to predict maintenance issues before they become critical. This proactive approach will not only save time and money, but also prevent the inconvenience of unexpected repairs. On top of that, we have several large partnerships and integrations in the works that will really propel this sector of the proptech industry forward.

What’s a cause you’re passionate about and why?

I’m a big supporter of the Make-a-Wish foundation. My nephew, Hudson, had Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy after birth complications. He was a bundle of joy that was always happy despite the circumstances. Make-a-Wish granted Hudson a wish and our entire family was able to go on a trip to the ocean, where Hudson was the happiest he had ever been. Seeing everything my brother and his family went through and the joy and peace they all received from Hudson’s Wish made me a lifetime supporter. To this day, our family participates in Walk for Wishes and contributes through Strong Like Hudson, a foundation committed to spreading “Happy” and helping grant Wishes.
